ShearGuys is an informational site and a way to reach Sloan Kofford (The Shear Guy) about mobile shear sharpening and engraving for salons, barbershops, and pet grooming shops in the Riverside County, California area. Using the site does not by itself create a service contract.

Sharpening is shown as $25 per pair. That price can change. Confirm it when you book. Engraving is quoted when Sloan sees the shear. Nothing on the visit form takes a payment.

Sharpening happens in person, on a visit to your shop or chair. A form, call, or text is a request. The visit is set when you and Sloan Kofford agree on a day. What gets sharpened, and any limit on a damaged pair, is agreed then — not by a sentence on this website.

Pages about Twice as Sharp, the diamond wheel, and the Ookami kit describe the usual process. They are not a guarantee that every shear can be restored, or that a result will last a set number of weeks. Any promise about a particular pair is what you and Sloan Kofford agree in person.

The copy, photos, and logo are for this business. You may not copy the site and present it as your own. Photos in the gallery are of finished shears from the bench.

To the extent the law allows, Sloan Kofford is not liable for losses that come from relying on general website text, a missed form submission, or a temporary outage. The form may only confirm on the screen until email delivery is connected, so a call or text is the sure way to reach him. This limit does not try to waive rights that California law does not allow a small business to waive.

These website terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a dispute about the website has to be heard in a court, it belongs in the state or federal courts located in California.
